Parent's Representative

Of the many qualities of the GS student body is that many of us are
parents. The Parents Representative is the person from council
specifically dedicated to helping GS parents in the incredible fun and
magic of parenting while tackling the academic challenge of Columbia
and the day to day facts of life in New York City. Parents with
organizational skills ready to create events for parents will be well
qualified.

Working Students Representative

We refer to this as the "Working Student Representative." Many
students in General Studies work and attend school. This population is
an essential element of the character of the school - that we work and
learn hard at the same time. Due to the challenges of juggling work and
academics the Student Workers Representative have one of the most
challenging positions on the council - a role reaching out to the
geographically and temporally scattered working GS students to better
inform them of essential services, workstudy, commuting programs,
healthcare, places to crash/study on campus and more.

Delegate at Large for Student Life

The production of events that promote the academic, and social lives
of the diverse GS student body requires a team with just as much
diversity. The Delegate at Large for Student Life works with the VP of
Student Life, the Social Chair and the other members of the Student
Life Committee to originate and produce compelling events and
measurable improvements to the life of students at GS.
