 Chris Ideen, Junior Class President

Chris is a second year GS student from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  With strong interests in the natural sciences and research, Chris is majoring in Biological Sciences with an aspiration to work in the health care field. Outside of his studies at Columbia, he is excited for the opportunity to represent his fellow juniors, and is looking forward to building a stronger, more united class.

 Elliot Shackelford, Junior Class Vice President

Elliot is a GS Junior originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and 2009-2010 is his second year at Columbia.  A concert pianist and teacher/instructor, he is now studying Political Science with a focus on International Relations.  He is enthusiastic about the unique educational opportunities offered by GS; and as a member of the GSSC he is very interested in efforts to address issues concerning GS students. He is also excited about ideas aimed at providing a social community, volunteer events, and greater integration into campus life for Juniors and all students in GS.
