Alex Ross and The Blue Notebooks

Blue Notebooks... Alex Ross...huh?

The Blue Notebooks Interviews: Alex Ross of The New Yorker
Mon Oct 29 8pm - Mon Oct 29 10pm
501 Schermerhorn

Alex Ross of The New Yorker will be here, interviewed by founding member of the Blue Notebooks, Casper Mao. Ross's new book, THE REST IS NOISE, has been heralded by such diverse personalities as Louis Menand and Bjork (seriously).

Please join us as we talk to Alex Ross, the classical music critic of
The New Yorker magazine. His long-anticipated history of the music in the 20th century was just released on October 16 - The Rest is Noise (FSG). Our conversation will entail the discussion of his book, as well as the interesting, hybridized state of classical music today, what it might mean in the context of the larger cultural and intellectual history.
