General Studies Lounge

A blog is a series of posts associated with a single user name. Blog posts go directly onto the front page of gslounge.com when posted. You can add images and links to a blog post as well as allow for comments.

1. Create an account on gslounge.com with your full name
2. If your account name isn't you full name (first last) change it to your full name
3. Contact Communication so they can give your account the ability to blog
4. Once you have been notified you have permission: Logout
5. Login
6. On the left sidebar scroll until you see your name
7. Under your name you'll see "My blog" click that link
8. On your blog, you'll see "Create new blog entry, click that link
9. Edit your entry
10. Click submit, you are done!

The result of a blog post is that it appears on:

• The front page of gslounge.com
• In the "Recent Posts" list
• In the site feed for users of RSS (ex. Google Reader)
• In your listing of blog posts
