Crossroads
It’s inevitable. You look back, forward, and side to sidewith answers to no avail. What do you then? I for one can’t seem to find anyanswers these days. This abundance of questions inside me mixed with feelingsof doubt, anxiety, helplessness… Where am I headed?
I recommend Carlos Santana, a good book, and a giant cup ofjava. Sit on a lawn, a stoop, or a comfortable chair. Watch the kids play, yourneighbors pass, and let life live. We all need a break. We all need toexperience moments of solitude in this urban canyon.
Once the traffic has gone by, the debacle passes, andeverything settles blissfully back into order. Our innate desire to resetnature has gone too far. We need to accept that nature has imposed its will.
Crossroads. It’s an opportunity. It’s not an X… Instead, consider it a +, it’s mere perception. Life is beautiful. Remember, when lifethrows a curve ball, sway with it and swing away. All roads lead somewhere…

If you were at the debates yesterday, you heard Monique talk about the Senior Fund and its state. She emphasize that it was not the quantity, but the participation that mattered. As of yesterday, 25% of students had participated in donating to the senior fund. However significant that may seem, it was reported by Monique that it falls short than that of other undergraduate schools. For example, 100% of the SEAS student body participated in providing for the Senior Gift fund last year. I feel that if we are asking for parity, we as students also need to partake in elevating our status on campus as well. We need to support each other, and our school in general and show our solidarity through things such as this Senior Gift Fund. Please show your support for the Seniors and their contributions to distinguishing GS as a truly unique school on campus. Let's show our support for our school, its constituents, and establish a stronger ground for our school on campus. I would like to thank all those who have participated in the 25%, and I will personally donate to the Senior Fund in the next few days. I would strongly encourage all of you to join me in showing a strong presence! Thanks all! and school's almost over hang in there!!
